Welcome to Our Puppy Blog!

Welcome to our blog! I am a small hobby breeder of Schnoodle puppies. My Schnoodles are a cross of the White Schnauzer with a Red Poodle. These dogs do not shed, are great for allergy sufferers, are friendly and easily trained.

We have 3 breeding females and sell our puppies face to face as required by APHIS rules for hobby breeders.

We sell our puppies through our Priority Waiting list. We do not post them on the blog for purchase. If you wish to buy a puppy, visit the Priority Waiting list page to sign up for an upcoming litter.

Our breeding dogs are from purebred Akc lines and the Schnoodle puppies are registered with ICA (the registry for Designer breed dogs.)

They will be vet checked, have their first set of shots, and be Ugodog Puppy Toilet Trained. But this is just the beginning! Read through our posts to see the special care and attention we give our litter. You will enjoy watching our Growing Puppies!.............. Growing.Puppies@yahoo.com

Update: The Waiting List is OPEN for a limited time. Registration is $25. Please read more on Waiting list page.

Why Buy our Pups

  ExceptionalPets begin with Exceptional Breeding

We only breed healthy dogs with wonderful dispositions from great breeding lines.   We make the most of nature, by giving them extra love care and attention from the beginning.

We want are breeding program to be wide open to the buyer...and so we offer this blog as a way to showcase our breeding practices.  We also offer great customer service.   I have been a buyer of dogs myself, and I know how important it is to be able to ask questions and communicate with the breeder.  I want you to feel safe and secure in your decision to buy a puppy and bring it into your home.  We are proud of how we raise our puppies and we think you will enjoy watching your puppy grow. I thank you for sharing our puppy story!..

All puppies will go home with the following:
- Current Vaccinations and wormings
- ICA Registration  papers
(International Canine Association -- Registry for Designer breeds)
- Vaccination/Health record
- Veterinary health check
- Puppy will be bathed and groomed
- Dew claws removed at 3-4 days old
- Small bag of the dog food they have been eating
- a doggy blanket with the smells of the litter to ease the transition to their new home.
- continued support from me the breeder through the lifetime of your dog.

ICA Registration:
Because both Dam and Sire of my litters are AKC registered purebred dogs I am able to register the Schnoodle litter with the International Canine Association.  This is a CKC affiliated registry particularly established for the registry of Designer Breed Dogs.  A registry of a litter allows the buyer to see the quality of the breeding lines that the dog comes from.  In choosing my dogs I was very particular about quality.  This quality of the genetics shows forth in the beauty of the dog, the coat quality, and the overall health.

The registration of this litter is an assurance of quality and is not intended for breeding purposes.  All puppies are sold for pets and are sold on a Spay Neuter contract.

HOME RAISED:

We only have a few dogs.  Our litters are born in my home...and cared for in my home.  I do not have or use Kennels.  I carefully watch each puppy from the day from its birth.  I give special care to each puppy every day, so that it is bonded with humans from the beginning.  We socialize our puppies with our kids of all ages, our other dogs, and our cat.

Easy to Potty Train:

We keep our puppies exceptionally clean.  As soon as they are able to walk we begin training them to use a UGODOG potty tray.  This builds clean habits from the beginning.  We start them on a potty training schedule to use the outdoors as soon as they are strong on their feet.  When you take your puppy home you have the option to continue using an indoor Ugodog Potty tray, or put your puppy on a schedule to use the outdoors.

Home Raised, and Well Socialized:

Our puppies are very adaptable to home life because they  have lived in a home.  They have been exposed to noise of vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, children playing, everyday life.  Our puppies are confident and well adjusted.  But socialization cannot end with the breeder.  The buyer must continue to put an emphasis on socialization throughout the first year of the puppies life.

Our Growing Puppies go home around 8 weeks of age.

This is the optimum time for a puppy to leave his litter and transition to his new home.  We do not send puppies home any earlier than that because they would lose valuable socialization time with their littermates.  We also find that at 8 weeks of age they are stronger and healthier for there transition to a new environment.

If after reading my blog, you have any questions about responsible breeding....I encourage you to download the PDF offered by the Humane Society of America, on How to Find a Responsible Dog Breeder.   I hope all my blog readers to make a good decision on where they buy their puppy.

Schnoodle Puppy Weight Predictions

Weight predictions are based on the weight of the parents and past litters.  The chart below is only a rough estimate.  No guarantees can be made on adult size.

If your puppy's weight at 5 weeks of age is: From 2 to 3 lbs. ~ Toy Range ~ (Under 10 lbs.)
From 3 to 3 1/2 lbs ~ Miniature ~ (Between 10 to 12 lbs.)
Above 3 1/2 lbs ~ Larger Miniature ~ (Between 12 to 18 lbs.)

Bringing your puppy home.  Travel options.

Most of my customers pick up their puppy at my home.  But sometimes driving distance is too long for many people.   I will travel up to 3 hrs to meet you or deliver your puppy.  Call me to discuss travel fees for gas and time.

If air travel is your best option, please note that I do not ship puppies as Cargo.  There is a better way.   You may fly to Virginia and fly back with your puppy in a carrier under the seat in front of you (cabin travel).  Puppies do very well traveling this way.   Most airlines allow you to take a puppy in the cabin with you as a carry on.   Here is a list of airlines and their restrictions.   Talk to your airline for more details.  You will need an approved puppy carrier that fits under your seat.  Airlines typically charge $50-75 above the cost of your regular ticket.

I am accessible to the Richmond, VA airport  (RIC). Feel free to discuss other airport options if necessary.

Reagan National, and Dulles Airport are within a few hours.  Shannon Airport in Stafford, VA is less than 30 minutes away for private jet planes

  1. Hi Mary. I have a question for you. I have just purchased the Corrector that was on your site under Our Store. Have you heard any feedback regarding if it works or not for barking? I understand that Schnoodles bark-its in their DNA, however, I get migraines due to the ear piercing barks throughout the day and I need something. Thoughts?

    1. Oh dear, I am sorry to hear that your Schnoodle is so barky. I have not heard of how successful the Corrector is with the barking issue. Let me know if it is helpful in your situation, I'd love to know if you find an answer:) Barking is something that is in a dogs nature, but it does become habitual as well. And habits can be hard to break. Best wishes!
