Welcome to Our Puppy Blog!

Welcome to our blog! I am a small hobby breeder of Schnoodle puppies. My Schnoodles are a cross of the White Schnauzer with a Red Poodle. These dogs do not shed, are great for allergy sufferers, are friendly and easily trained.

We have 4 breeding females and sell our puppies face to face as required by APHIS rules for hobby breeders.

Our breeding dogs are from purebred Akc lines and the Schnoodle puppies are registered with ICA (the registry for Designer breed dogs.)

They will be vet checked, have their first set of shots, and they have been using a Ugodog Potty tray from 4 to 8 weeks. But this is just the beginning! Read through our posts to see the special care and attention we give our litter. You will enjoy watching our Growing Puppies!

We sell our puppies through our Waiting list. To reserve your spot on the Waiting List requires a $250 deposit. If you have any questions please email me at GrowingPuppies@gmail.com

Agility Masters....Remi and Louie!

Louie is 4 yrs old in June and Remi is 6 yrs old in March.
Remy and I competed in the Westminster Masters Agility Championship again this year and did very well.  I hope to take Louie next year as well.  He will have the correct titles to enter and is very fast so he has the potential to do very well if I don't mess up.  I thought you might be interested.

And congratulations to Louie as well, for almost catching up to his big brother!   How will Remy handle it, if Louie wins next year!  LOL!     What a great way to bond with your dogs and to train them to be super responsive as well.  Good luck in your training!  I look forward to an update on next years Championship!

Happy 2nd Birthday to Perrin!

Perrin with his Birthday card from Doggy Daycare

Hi Mary,

Hope you are having a fantastic 2017!!!  I wanted to send you an update on Perrin now that he's TWO!!  He is still the absolute greatest dog in the entire world.

He's gentle, intelligent, playful, lovable, kind, and energetic.  He's the best companion in the world for Brian and I and we can't thank you enough for introducing him to us!  To this day, everyone who meets him can't get over his personality, or his little white "socks"!

Here are a few pictures of him all grown up!  My favorite picture is the one where his doggie daycare made him a special birthday card complete with his paw prints when we took him to daycare for his birthday.  Sweetest present ever!

All the best!

Question about Flea & Tick Meds

Charlotte at 6 months old
Hi Mary!

I had a quick question regarding Charlotte.  When we picked her up in November I thought you mentioned that you had a really good flea and tick collar (or prevention) that you recommended.  I believe you said that it was also a tick repellant?  I cannot remember the name of it though.  Could I ask you for your recommendation again?  I hope that everything is going well for you!

RESPONSE from MARY:

Hello!
Thank you for your email and your adorable photo of Charlotte!   For the past 20 years I have used Frontline Plus on my dogs, and have kept a "Tick Nipper" handy for removing ticks.  What I didn't like about Frontline Plus, is that while it kills and repels fleas for 3 months, it only repels ticks for 1 month.  So that means ticks are jumping on the dog after the first month and can transfer Lyme's disease....or bring the ticks into your house where they might get on you or the kids!  Either way, it is not a good thing.   So in areas where ticks are a problem, one really should apply Frontline once a month...but as you can imagine that gets super expensive.  (especially with multiple dogs!)

So I asked my veterinary about an alternative medication to repel ticks longer.   He recommended Serenta Flea and Tick collars.  This collar repels  fleas and ticks for 8 months!  That means that in the Northern states, you could put the collar on your dog in the spring and it will work right up until winter.

The initial cost of the Serenta collar may look expensive, but when you consider it a once a year purchase versus the yearly cost of Frontline then the savings is quite substantial.

I used the Serenta collar with Misty all last year, and I was quite happy with the results.  The only thing I didn't like, was that I had to remove the collar for bathing and grooming, and it wasn't very easy to take it on and off.

I hope this information is helpful to you.  Wishing you a flea and tick free year!!!

Happy National Puppy Day from Crystal

Crystal at 5 months old.

This is Crystal our newest family addition.   She is a white Schnauzer female of average miniature size, and lovely thick coat, that is NOT prone to matting.   She comes from terrific breeding lines and both her parents are OFA certified for their hearts and knees.

I LOVE this little girl.   Ever since we got her in December,  she has been absolutely perfect.   Her fantastic temperament was immediately evident.   She rolls on the floor with glee when she meets someone new.  Everyone is her best friend!  She is docile and bonded to people and is happy to let me take the lead.  She follows along at my heels on walks in the woods, or walks along side me on the leash.  I am thrilled.  She is also super responsive!  When you call her name she will come running as FAST as she can!   She is super playful and enjoys playing with toys and the other dogs.  And finally I will add that she is my personal angel.  I take her with me everywhere I go.  She loves taking rides in the car, and is easy for me to bring along.    She is truly a dream puppy, and I am so thrilled that I have her for my breeding program.

Rockets 2nd Birthday!

The following is an update from Rockets family....

Hi Mary!   Just wanted to send you a couple of photos of Rocket, as he celebrates his SECOND BIRTHDAY tomorrow!

Rocket has proven to be the best dog we could have hoped for!   He plays rough with my son and I, wrestling on the floor and just having fun.  He lets my 10 year old daughter carry him around like a baby, and my wife and 13 year old daughter can constantly be found petting and snuggling with him, or playing ball (over and over) --- they call him their own personal "pet therapy" when they are stressed, and Rocket clearly loves every minute of it.

He is an incredibly smart dog and surprised us when he arrived home by already being potty-trained!   We cannot stress enough how wonderful it has been having Rocket in our lives the past two years, and again, thank you for breeding such wonderful Schnoodles!

By the way, we heard that our friends adopted "Leo" from you recently!  Great news - they are a wonderful family!  We hope to have a playdate between Rocket and Leo soon!

Cheers!
Rockets Dad
